Back in 1989 Anthony and Christine Snell bought 100 acres of bare land and begun growing vegetable and salad crops. In 1998 the decision was made to focus on soft fruit production. Today the farm covers 450 acres and produces and packs 1500 tonnes of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and blackcurrants, both organically and conventionally.

Anthony and Christine pride themselves in growing the finest varieties of soft fruit that are bursting with flavour. The fruit is hand-picked at optimum maturity when the flavour is at its best. It is then individually quick frozen and packed onsite in a heat-sealed punnet and placed into a professionally designed sleeve.
At Windmill Hill we take our environmental responsibility and public relations very serious. The farm has been at the forefront of research initiatives, often leading the way with pioneering trials. Additionally the farm welcomes organised groups, including schools trips and every June the gates are opened to the public as part of a LEAF farm open day where individuals are shown around the farm.
